Tutorial 9. Data Tables and Scenario Management. On
page 9.25 print the sheets in the workbook and
appropriate formulas (with gridlines, row & column
headings). 4 pages. Add a new
"Low Cost 2" scenario (with units sold: 1500,
price per unit=$160; material cost=44; advertising=5000;
and administrative=$4000) to the Scenario Report
workbook you completed in Tutorial 9. Print the completed scenario summary
report (Fig. 9-36) with Low Cost 2. 1 page. (due 12/13, 10 points)

For Class Session 7 -- Wednesday, December 13, 2006
- Complete and submit Tutorials 9 and 10. Assignment for Tutorial 10. Using Solver for Complex Problems. Complete the tutorial
and review assignments. In the tutorial print the formula sheet for
Figure 10-6 when cell B11=17 (show grid lines and row and column
headings). In the directory data/tutorial10/Review use the Dryers.xls
workbook for the review assignments. On pages 10.30-1 print the
documentation sheet for Dryer Order, the Orders worksheet (like Figure
10-25 with Dryers added in column E) and Solver answer report, and the
formulas for the worksheet (show grid lines and row and column
headings). The total profit for all appliances including dryers should
equal $20,580. (10 points)
For Class Session 8 -- Wednesday, January 10, 2007
- Exam (100 points) covers the content in Power Decision Support Systems: Concepts and Resources for Managers. The exam will include 40 multiple choice questions (60 points), 10 short answer questions (20 points), and 10 Excel multiple choice questions (20 points).
