![]() | BURBANK, Calif. - September 14, 2000 -- Aviation executives test a system from In-Flight Network and Globalstar, a global satellite phone company, which allows for the first time, commercial airline passengers to access to low-cost, high-speed Internet and e-mail services in-flight. The data will be transmitted directly to the aircraft via Globalstar's network of satellites. This service will be available to existing commercial airline fleets next year.
