Iowa Health System Selects Allscripts for Wireless Prescribing and Dictation

Handheld Solution Key to Improving Patient Safety and Lowering Transcription Costs


Thursday, April 26, 2001 CHICAGO, IL–Allscripts Healthcare Solutions (NASDAQ: MDRX), the leading provider of point-of-care decision support tools for physicians, announced today that Iowa Health System has selected Allscripts TouchWorks Prescribe and Dictate solutions. As the state’s largest and first integrated healthcare system, Iowa Health System includes 11 hospitals and nearly 450 physicians in 3 states. Iowa Health System completed a successful pilot project with Allscripts and will now proceed with a multi-year commitment for the rollout of Prescribe and Dictate to the balance of their physician base.
