PARK CITY, Utah--April 3, 2001--AmeriNet
Group.com, Inc. (OTCBB:ABUY) which is under letter of intent to
acquire Park City Group, has announced a new product that will greatly
improve super market operations. Cooper Fields LLC, A To Be 50% Owned
Subsidiary of Park City Group, Forms Alliance with Associated Food
Stores Inc. of Salt Lake City UT, and Launches Production Planning
with Lin's Market Place in St. George, UT , Park City Group
successfully launched an internet-based automated production planning
system for grocery perishable departments, dramatically improving the
profitability through category and inventory management. The Fresh
Market Management system allows Grocery Perishable Managers to have
reliable daily production plans that meet all merchandising and shelf
life requirements. The system also allows corporate merchandising
staffs to develop their category management plans using real time,
real item and category contributions.
Additionally, Park City Group has entered into an alliance with
Associated Food Stores Inc. ( 1.3 Billion in annual sales) to provide
the Fresh Market System to their company and Co-op stores. The system
not only helps with production planning, but also develops
computer-based orders based on forecasted needs and provides real time
management alerts to store and corporate management through out the
day. This system is based on the technology developed for the world
renowned Mrs. Fields Cookies' organization with their more than 800
stores which itself was subject to a well known Harvard case study.
Associated Food Stores Inc. is implementing the program in four chains
and plans a major rollout in late summer.
"Our alliance with Associated Food Stores Inc. allows us a stable
and secure Internet connection with local stores to allow real time
exchange of production and sales data," Cooper Fields chief operating
officer Will Dunlavy stated.
Current technology does not allow managers to manage perishable
departments on a true cost bases because of retail accounting
practices in the grocery industry. Fresh Market Manager bridges this
gap allowing management to know the actual cost and contribution of
every item in the department. This includes not only the cost of raw
ingredients, but also labor and packaging costs. In addition, Fresh
Market Manager also manages the problem of variety assortment
forecasting due to the industries lack of flavor assortment POS data.
"We believe that Fresh Market Manager will give us a definite
advantage over our competition. We will be able to develop
merchandising programs to feature hot bakery products throughout the
day," Associated Food Stores Inc. Bakery/Deli Director Roger Montague
stated.
Currently the industry is searching for ways to make their
perishable departments more profitable according to Brian Simmonson,
President of Lin's Markets. "I have reviewed many programs and know
that Fresh Market Manager was developed from the view point of the
Retailer."
"Increasingly in today's environment, a key component of retail
success is the use of breakthrough technology," said Randall K.
