Vite Announces Enhanced Enterprise Project
Management Solution; Vite's SimVision Adds
"Flight Test" Technology, Resource Allocation,
Risk Assessment to Microsoft Project Solutions
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. April 4, 2001 -- Vité Corporation
today announced a powerful enterprise project planning and
management solution that combines Vite's SimVision(TM) project design
and simulation software with Microsoft(R) Project 2000, Project
Central and Visio solutions.
Vite's SimVision software models organizations and projects and
through simulation predicts their likely result. This offers
enterprise users the unique ability to "flight test," optimize and
control the outcome of critical projects and portfolios. SimVision now
exports its project designs directly to Microsoft Project 2000. New
SimVision product releases later this year will further integrate
simulation and risk management tools with Microsoft Project's strong
tracking and updating capabilities.
"Enterprise customers who use Microsoft Project and Visio in
conjunction with Vite's solutions for project planning and analysis
have seen a higher success rate for their projects," said Joel
Frauenheim, product manager for Microsoft. "We are excited by the work
Vite is doing to provide our mutual customers with tools for enhancing
the Microsoft platform to help deliver additional executive analysis
and decision-making."
SimVision empowers Microsoft Project customers with the ability to
obtain highly accurate project performance projections and risk
analysis, and to identify resource, schedule and quality problems that
put projects at risk. SimVision is based on breakthrough technology
developed during 12 years of project and organizational research at
Stanford University. The Vite solution has been utilized by leading
Fortune 500 companies to greatly improve their performance and success
rates in executing strategic projects.
"Vite is able to support Microsoft Project users with more
accurate project risk analysis than ever before," said Vite President
Bob Drazovich. "Vite is committing to a major effort to provide
Microsoft Project enterprise customers with a more tightly integrated
project planning solution, including effortless information flow
between products for project updating and re-planning purposes. We are
delighted to have the opportunity to work closely with Microsoft and
other Microsoft partners to deliver high-value solutions."
SimVision has been independently verified to be compatible with
Microsoft Windows(R) 2000. SimVision, since its original release in
1996, has been seamlessly integrated with Microsoft Visio.
