Seamless Integration of Alphablox 4 and IBM WebSphere Enables Broader Deployment of Collaborative Analytics to the Front Lines for Superior Predictability and Business Performance
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif, - December 13, 2001- Alphablox Corporation today announced that it has partnered with IBM to enable the rapid development and deployment of a new class of powerful collaborative analytic solutions for improving business performance. This news follows on the heels of the company's recent announcement of Alphablox 4, the latest release of its infrastructure software for InLine Analytics TM. Through Alphablox 4's seamless integration with IBM WebSphere, a leading Web application server, customers are able for the first time to significantly extend the reach of analytics across their organizations.
"IBM is pleased to work with companies like Alphablox to provide complementary solutions for our WebSphere software," said Scott Hebner, Director WebSphere Marketing, IBM Corporation. "By leveraging IBM WebSphere for delivering Web applications, Alphablox helps customers be more competitive in today's e-business arena."
By taking business intelligence out of it's traditional "application silos" and fueling a powerful class of analytic capabilities across key business applications within the IT infrastructure stack, Alphablox's out-of-the-box integration with IBM WebSphere enables customers, partners and integrators to truly gain a comprehensive view of their business-allowing them to make reality based decisions at the point and time of need.
"Robust integration with leading application servers like IBM WebSphere allows our customers to leverage the investments they have already made in business critical infrastructure technology, thus garnering a greater return on their existing investments," said Polly Sumner, President and CEO of Alphablox Corporation. "The new integration also gives customers greater flexibility in adapting analytics to span their entire organization and integrate with critical business processes and applications for much better business performance."
This agreement will enable Alphablox's InLine analytics to be directly embedded within systems and enterprise applications powered by IBM WebSphere, such as CRM and SCM, allowing end-users to explore, view, cross-examine and present information from multiple applications and data sources in real-time.
By making analytics part of the IT infrastructure stack, for example, companies will be able to take traditional business intelligence out of the hands of a few specialized business analysts and broadly deploy it across the value chain to hundreds or even thousands of key decision makers-be they employees, customers or partners.
