SupplyLinks Chooses NextLinx to Extend Global Transportation Solution

Partnership improves global transportation decisions for customers

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA and SILVER SPRING, MD (Jan. 18, 2001) SupplyLinks, Inc., a global transportation and supply chain management company, today announced that it is incorporating NextLinx's Global Managerä product suite into its transportation and logistics solution, enabling customers to make smarter and more cost-efficient sourcing and transportation decisions. NextLinx's products are a key component of SupplyLinks' solution, offering users landed cost calculations, complete denied party screening, license determination and fast, simple Harmonized System (HS) product classifications. The combined solution will expedite global trade for SupplyLinks customers by enabling them to compare landed costs from multiple vendors and facilitate complete customs requirements on a global basis.

"After extensive evaluation, we are pleased to have selected NextLinx as our preferred global trade management partner," said David Beatson, chairman and chief executive officer of SupplyLinks, Inc. "We concluded that their service has the best content and by far, the best value. By combining NextLinx's technology with G-Log's Global Enterprise Transportation platform, we add tremendous functionality to our menu of services, and most importantly, deliver a fully integrated, turnkey solution to customers."

Integrated directly into the SupplyLinks solution is NextLinx's Global TradePlaceä, its collaborative Web-based trading environment for managing global trade over the Internet. NextLinx's Global Manager product suite accesses the regulatory content in Global Knowledgeä, the industry's most comprehensive and up-to-date source of information for landed costs, government trade regulations and logistics, for shipping products from anywhere to anywhere, representing more than 98 percent of the world trade market.

"We are very excited to be working with one of the industry's leading global transportation and supply chain management innovators," said Rajiv Uppal, founder, chief executive officer and chairman of NextLinx. "Today's announcement by SupplyLinks broadens our reach and takes us one step closer to our company goal of touching every shipment, either directly or indirectly, as it crosses international borders."
