Samsung SDS America Launches New Version of REQUBE Intelligent Database Reporting Tool

SAN JOSE, Calif.--Nov. 6, 2001--Samsung SDS America (SDSA), the U.S. division of Korea's $1 billion information technology company Samsung SDS, announces today the newest version of the REQUBE intelligent reporting tool. REQUBE enables enterprise users to generate reports in a simple manner from corporate databases and data warehouses.
As the basic infrastructure of the IT industry, databases and data warehouses are widely expanding. The competitive need to convert enterprise data into more valuable forms of information and analyze it in depth is also increasing. Due to these demands, data analysis and reporting tools are essential to meet such needs in a variety of environments.
REQUBE is a powerful tool for analyzing and reporting database information in a client-server or web based environment. Currently, REQUBE has four different models to aid IT and business personnel in retrieving and disseminating relevant information from corporate databases. The models include Enterprise, End User, Web based and SAP specific reporting tools. A key feature of the product allows the flexibility and ease of use to produce simple reports through the models by using an easy WYSIWIG user interface that requires no programming. With minimal training, inexperienced users can easily learn how to query information in a database and display the result in a report or on a Web site.
Other features allow for complex reporting through drill up, drill down, drill through and slice functions providing multiple depth analysis of multidimensional corporate data. REQUBE provides support for database servers like MS SQL Server, Microsoft Access, Oracle, Sybase, Informix, IBM DB2, SAP R/3 and any DBMS supporting ODBC. Additional Data Warehouses like MS OLAP Server, SAP BW as well as any that support OLE DB and OLAP.
REQUBE also allows for easy integration into legacy applications and with support for Visual Basic, Delphi, Power Builder, ASP and HTML the software allows for easy dissemination throughout the enterprise. The included Efficient Report Server solution allows multiple users to generate and analyze report data at the same time on the web. Additional features like scheduled report execution, email notification, caching and monitoring features allow for easy management of business critical reporting.
Using REQUBE enhances the competitiveness of your enterprise in the e-Business world with OLAP analysis that simplifies the process of retrieving and displaying information from enterprise wide relational databases, SAP R/3, Data Warehouses and the Web.
These tools and other new Samsung SDS offerings like ACUBE Enterprise Knowledge Portal, Bizentro ERP solutions and others, are part of the company's ongoing strategy to strengthen its application software business in the U.S and World Wide.
