BI Platform dynaSight^® now also for handheld devices 

(Langenfeld, April 29 2002) – arcplan, the internationally renowned provider of the highly flexible business intelligence platform dynaSight, has adapted its solutions for use with handheld devices. Thus arcplan allows the use of palmtops to call up dynaSight applications and access the information needed at any time and any place. 

In the past users could employ a notebook to access applications developed with dynaSight over a standard browser – now they can also use the advantages of palmtops. Via the Internet, the arcplan tool ensures constant access to up-to-date company data and crucial information with these easy and comfortable to use devices. Managers and employees with frequent business meetings or business trips can easily and directly access the information they require. The applications are stored centrally and displayed on the end device in accordance with the user’s profile.  

In this way, employees can access the company data important to them. “One version of the truth” applies for the whole company. Different versions of information caused by data being out-of-date are a thing of the past. Of course, users can also utilize their handheld device to update data at any time, avoiding lengthy processes for reconciling information as well as transmission errors.
