Corel Corporation Chooses Crystal Decisions to Power A New Visual Studio .NET Enterprise Application Corel lowers costs and reduces development time with Crystal Reports for Visual Studio .NET PALO ALTO, CA—April 11, 2002—Crystal Decisions, an information management company, today announced that Corel Corporation has chosen Crystal Reports, a world standard for Web reporting, as a critical component within a new Visual Studio .NET application, called the Technology Research Group (TRG) Portal. The TRG Portal will improve efficiency at Corel and increase competitive advantage by expediting the capture and exchange of information. "Crystal Reports allowed us to reduce development time through the ability to quickly and easily create interactive reports right from within the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET development environment," said Ramesh Subramanian, director, technology research group, Corel Corporation. The application will initially be used by approximately 600 internal employees throughout North America and will eventually expand to encompass over 1200 users in seven countries. Crystal Reports for Visual Studio .NET, a special edition of an industry standard for high-performance report design, delivers a critical reporting element for the application.
