Merger Creates Industry Leader in Business Intelligence, Decision Support and Consulting Services

ATLANTA, GA, April 30, 2003 -- Experian(R), a global business solutions company, today announced the formation of Scorex, a new decision support and consulting business. Experian acquired the outstanding shareholdings in its prior joint venture with Scorex, one of the world's foremost developers of application processing and customer management software. The business has offices in 22 countries, employs more than 750 people and provides risk management solutions to major financial organizations in more than 60 countries. Scorex in the United States is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia with additional offices in Allen, Texas and Costa Mesa, California.

Scorex is unique in its ability to marry its existing decisioning solutions and consulting capabilities with Experian's vast information resources. This will allow it to deliver significant value to clients from the integration of its decision support software, information intelligence, analytics and consulting disciplines to create customer-focused solutions. Clients will be able to extract greater value from their existing customer portfolios while delivering optimized services and customer relationship management benefits through Scorex' tools, data analytics and consulting services.

The new venture will use the Strategy Management(SM) suite of customer software to support the more than 1,000 Strategy Management systems currently in use globally. Scorex currently executes more than 5 billion decisions annually and its Transact application processing solution interfaces with 50 credit reporting agencies around the world. Risk management and target marketing solutions are provided to clients in the financial services, retail, insurance, energy and telecommunication industries.
