J.D. Edwards Introduces New Business Modeling Tool for Manufacturers and Distributors; Supply Chain Business Modeler Reduces Implementation and Integration Time

DENVER, CO, April 23, 2003 -- Designed to simplify the implementation process and deliver a faster and higher return on investment for supply chain management projects, J.D. Edwards & Company (Nasdaq: JDEC) has developed a unique supply chain application for manufacturing- and distribution-centric companies. Available today, J.D. Edwards Supply Chain Business Modeler (SCBM) consolidates data across disparate business applications into a single data warehouse and helps companies connect business processes throughout their supply chain. This leads to lower total cost of ownership via increased application connectivity and reduced implementation time associated with integration.

Serving as a single repository for all supply chain management data, J.D. Edwards SCBM automatically manages data shared by planning, order management, multi-mode manufacturing and logistics applications. Enabling Event Management

SCBM will also support corporate performance management by providing both key performance indicators (KPIs) and key performance predictors (KPPs) across the extended supply chain.
