TANDBERG Extends Web Communications Capabilities with ACE Vision

NEW YORK AND SAN JOSE Calif., April 28, 2003 -- TANDBERG, a global provider of collaborative communication solutions, and web communications leader WebEx Communication, Inc. (Nasdaq: WEBX), have developed a comprehensive service for data, voice and video communication that allows enterprise customers to combine the capabilities of TANDBERG's videoconferencing platform and WebEx's MediaTone communications network. The new service enables customers to participate in meetings by video, audio or web conferencing service and allows TANDBERG to better serve the rapidly growing demand for highly integrated collaborative communication services.

This is an important step in fulfilling the promise of TANDBERG's Architecture for the Collaborative-Communications Enterprise (ACE). ACE allows TANDBERG users to connect to the WebEx MediaTone Network, a global network specifically designed for high-speed web communications, to add WebEx capabilities to traditional videoconferences or include PC-based attendees in the meeting. At the core of ACE is the TANDBERG Management Suite (TMS) and Scheduler -- the common software platform that manages components and services from multiple vendors in a single system. To schedule a conference, the administrator using TMS, or the end user using Scheduler, simply selects the WebEx option when scheduling a meeting. The confirmation e-mail includes information for audio and video calls plus a link that brings participants into the meeting via the Internet.
