Experian's Z-24(R) Catalog Database Surpasses 100 Million

Membership Participation Records Significant Increases

COSTA MESA, Calif., Jan. 7, 2003 -- Experian, a leading provider of global information solutions, today announced that Z-24, its cooperative database for catalogers has expanded to 750 participants and coverage on over 100 million households, making it one of the most extensive databases in the industry. With Z-24, marketers can leverage transactional data to identify new customers and target households based on buying behavior. Z-24 was launched in 1990 with six participants covering 8 million households.

With expanded analytical and custom modeling services, increases in Z-24 membership are on the rise. The database provides marketers with information they need to reach qualified prospects through relevant and appealing offers at precisely the right buying moment.

"Experian's Z-24 team understands our business objectives and works diligently with us to develop strategies that have generated positive results for our catalogs," said Karen Toye, circulation manager for Lillian Vernon.

Z-24 list selections are complemented by custom models to improve existing marketing activities and deliver a wealth of new names. By incorporating Experian's analytical solutions into their marketing strategy, marketers are able to discover untapped markets and find valuable new prospects based on the characteristics of existing customers.

"Over the past year we have obtained a higher level of return using the Z-24 database," said Bob King, circulation manager for Cuddledown. "Experian's Z-24 team has been relentless in working with us to develop models and selects that have increased the level of response for each of our mailings."

"Experian combines the power of shared data with advanced statistical modeling to help Z-24 participants improve profitability and achieve higher return rates," said Peter O'Neil, vice president and general manager of Experian's cooperative databases unit. "We are pleased with the recent growth because we know it improves our ability to add value for participants."

Z-24 is an open cooperative catalog database. Experian publishes a list of Z-24 participants on a regular basis.
