Computerworld Editor-in-Chief Maryfran Johnson To Moderate a Discussion of Strategies and Solutions

WESTBORO, Mass., July 30, 2003 -- Ascential Software Corporation (Nasdaq: ASCL), the enterprise data integration leader, today announced that it will host a special event in conjunction with The Data Warehousing Institute (TDWI) World Conference to stimulate a best practices discussion of one of the greatest challenges and opportunities facing IT organizations today -- delivering valuable business information from strategic enterprise applications in "real time."

The Ascential Software Experts Forum, "Delivering Results in the Real-Time Enterprise," will convene on Monday, Aug. 18, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Boston Marriott Copley Place and Convention Center. Computerworld Editor-in-Chief Maryfran Johnson will moderate the forum. Guest experts include IT executives from Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Landstar System, Inc., McKesson Corp., Pfizer Inc. and Room Solutions. The Ascential Software Experts Forum is open to all TDWI World Conference attendees. The TDWI World Conference, the premier event for data warehousing and business intelligence professionals, will be held in Boston Aug. 17-22, 2003.

"Companies will no longer tolerate the trade-off between getting their business information either right but with a delay, or now with redundancies, gaps or inaccuracies," said Mike Cassettari, Ascential Software vice president and chief marketing officer. "They want their business information right now. That's why 'Delivering Results in the Real-Time Enterprise' will be one session that IT professionals can't afford to miss."
