Island Pacific Signs First Contract for Decision Support Software; Texas-Based Sporting Goods Chain First to Implement IP's New Software Offering

IRVINE, Calif., March 11, 2003 -- Island Pacific, a division of SVI Solutions Inc. (AMEX:SVI), announced today the signing of a license and services agreement with a Texas-based sporting goods chain for Buyer's Workmate(R), a decision support software platform powered by IT Resources Inc.

In November 2002, Island Pacific announced the signing of a marketing license agreement with IT Resources. This is the first IP customer contract for Buyer's Workmate.

It is distinguished by its capability to develop assortments at the most detailed levels, style/color/size, and its consistency in the application of merchandise assortment trends throughout the process.

The decision support software will allow their buyers to build merchandise assortments while traveling to vendor sites or shows. They will then have the ability to upload assortments into the IP Purchase Order Management System to create the proper POs. It will be a huge time saver."
