(SMG), the market leader in simulation products and services that accelerate time to value of corporate initiatives, today announced the release of SimShop(TM) Version 4.0. This release includes the SimShop(TM) Resource Library, a searchable database of tools, books, tutorials, articles, audio-video files, and other resources related to critical business issues and corporate initiatives. SimShop(TM) is SMG's proprietary platform for development, maintenance, and deployment of simulations for use across the lifecycle of an initiative. SimShop(TM) integrates four major components of the Platform Server: the Simulation Engine, the Template Processor, the Media Integrator, and now, the Resource Library. The platform also includes the SimShop(TM) Authoring Tool to create simulations across SMG's Simulation Continuum. The Resource Library, SimShop(TM)'s newest capability, allows for the dynamic association of resources with a simulation, so that a single resource can be used in any number of simulations across multiple initiatives. It also allows clients to add, freshen, and maintain their own resources, and to have them integrated dynamically with an SMG simulation. The Resource Library offers a card catalog of references to resources, allowing users to link directly to online content.
