Creeth, Richman & Associates, Inc. Releases OLAPObjects for TM1 3.0 for Web Enabling Applix TM1 Applications, Featuring Greater Speed, Even Tighter Excel Integration

WILTON, Conn., May 9, 2003 -- Creeth, Richman & Associates, Inc. today announced the official release of OLAPObjects for TM1 3.0, the latest incarnation of its popular product for integrating Applix TM1 OLAP databases with Microsoft supported web technologies. Coupled with the OLAPObjects Publisher add-in, it enables non-technical users to use the familiar Excel environment to create dynamic web sites with live, secure data links to TM1 databases.

OLAPObjects for TM1 3.0 features a newly optimized core engine which has led to dramatic increases in network response times at many sites. "We have many clients using OLAPObjects for TM1, and with this new release their largest reports refresh in a quarter of the time they used to! OLAPObjects has always been a great productivity booster, but this optimization makes it even easier for us to demonstrate the value that this product brings to an organization," says Michael Mahoney of Adonix, Inc., the largest value added reseller of the product.

With the new version of OLAPObjects Publisher, web page developers using Excel can leverage even more Excel features, including additional worksheet functions and charts and graphs. There are also many more features for developing a complete and compelling web site using only Excel and TM1 skills.

"Integrated dynamic menus, customized headers and footers, and the ability to publish entire workbooks at once provide the missing pieces of the puzzle. Previously it was hard to avoid a little custom coding to produce a polished looking web site. With these new features, typical TM1 users have flexibility and power, while still being able to do sophisticated web development with almost no training. This product empowers business users, and takes us a big step towards realizing our vision for OLAPObjects," says Richard Creeth, president of Creeth, Richman & Associates.

Richard Creeth adds, "A web site built using OLAPObjects Publisher now provides a much richer web browsing experience. All published web pages include zooming, freeze panes, fit to page, and column and row hiding functionality as well as more navigable select drop down controls and the popular Excel View feature for downloading pages into Excel. All this functionality, including dynamically changing charts and graphs, continues to be provided without the browser end user needing to install any client software on his or her machine. Most times that user will not need any training either."

OLAPObjects for TM1 3.0 has been made available to select customers since April 1, 2003, and is now available to Applix TM1 customers worldwide.
