Companies Enter New Agreement

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Sept. 29, 2003 -- Evant, a leading provider of retail management software, today announced a marketing and technology agreement with IBM Corporation that will help enable retailers, wholesalers and distributors to optimize their merchandise plans and inventory performance to achieve greater competitive advantage using Evant software and IBM's infrastructure software, hardware and global services expertise.

Under the terms of the agreement, Evant and IBM will collaborate to market and deploy Evant Merchandise Planning and Evant Demand Planning and Replenishment solutions to joint customers across North America. The scope of the partnership includes marketing, collaborative selling, software integration, implementation services and product development. In addition, Evant will continue to optimize its J2EE and AS/400 platforms for IBM's hardware and software suites including WebSphere(TM) and DB2(TM). IBM Global Services will provide consulting, customization and integration services to joint customers.
