Keane Inks Application Development and Management (ADM) Outsourcing Pact With Descartes Systems Group

BOSTON, Sept. 4, 2003 -- Keane, Inc. (Amex: KEA), a leading business and information technology (IT) consulting firm, today announced that it has been awarded an Application Development and Management (ADM) Outsourcing contract by The Descartes Systems Group Inc.,(Nasdaq: DSGX), a trusted provider of supply chain services.

Keane is providing ongoing application development and enhancement services for Descartes integrated suite of services that provide connectivity and document exchange, route planning and wireless dispatch, inventory and asset visibility, transportation management, and warehouse optimization to distribution-sensitive companies. This engagement is part of Descartes' mission to leverage technology for creating and maintaining competitive leadership and responding to evolving market opportunities within their client base of retailers, consumer packaged goods, manufacturers, transportation providers, third-party logistics providers, and distributors. Keane will support this project with an on-site team from its Atlanta, Georgia branch office working in conjunction with an offshore team based at Keane's Advanced Development Center in Hyderabad, India.
