Intergraph Invites Geospatial Professionals to Submit Solutions to Complex Spatial Analysis Problems for Awards Program

New awards program recognizes outstanding project solutions

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Jan. 21, 2004 -- Intergraph Mapping and Geospatial Solutions (NASDAQ:INGR) and the Intergraph GeoSpatial Users Community (IGUC) today announced the call for entries to the 2004 Awards for Innovative Raster Analysis Program. The international awards program recognizes users who develop exceptional solutions to solve complex spatial analysis problems using Intergraph technology. The competition targets professionals who have used GeoMedia(R) or GeoMedia Professional and GeoMedia Grid for a technically innovative raster project solution. Intergraph customers as well as students are invited to submit entries by April 10, 2004. Entries will be judged with equal emphasis on:

-- Complexity of the problem being solved

-- Technical use of software and system capabilities

-- Innovative and imaginative use of software

-- Aesthetic merit, including composition, layout and use of symbology and color

Entries will be exhibited and judged during GeoSpatial World 2004, the IGUC international training and management conference, May 12-14, in Miami Beach, Florida, USA. First-place and first runner-up winners will receive a cash prize of $1,000 (U.S.) and $500 (U.S.), respectively, as well as complimentary registration to GeoSpatial World 2005. Winners will be announced on May 13 during a special awards ceremony immediately following the keynote address.
