IDELIX Enters Partnership Agreement with Intelligence Data SystemsFirst Defense integrator to adopt PDT Java for web-based projects May 12, 2004 - USSOCOM SOF WEEK AND APBI CONFERENCE, Tampa, Florida - IDELIX® Software Inc. and Intelligence Data Systems are pleased to announce today a joint partnership agreement that will see the integration of Pliable Display Technology (PDT), into Intelligence Data Systems' customized technology solutions for the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and related Federal Civilian Agencies. "The Pliable Display Technology interface represents a significant visualization enhancement that can be integrated into the architecture of various geospatial and imagery applications, as well as web-enabled solutions," said Bijan Sanii, President and CEO of IDELIX. "This partnership will enable us to collaborate with Intelligence Data Systems to create cutting-edge visualization solutions and data harvesting techniques designed to improve data/end user interaction." Intelligence Data Systems is the first IDELIX partner to integrate the PDT Java Software Development Kit, released in April 2004. The PDT Java SDK expands the platform independence of the PDT family, which includes an SDK written in C++, .NET, and COM support. The growing demand for Java based applications in the defense industry has been primarily due to the distinctive requirements of mobile and net-centric applications. The integration of PDT into Intelligence Data Systems' applications will offer customers significant accuracy and efficiency gains when viewing, analyzing, and interacting with digital images and complex data sets. "IDELIX brings added value in not just their outstanding products, but in their detailed knowledge, imagination, and responsiveness to their partners and customers," said Brian Meighen, Program Manager of Intelligence Data Systems. "Intelligence Data Systems and our customer for whom we are conducting this integration has also been extremely impressed with the IDELIX PDT technology and is eagerly looking forward to adding this functionality to their applications." IDELIX is currently working with the Geospatial Intelligence Advancement Testbed (GIAT) group within the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's InnoVision Directorate, and is also a partner in the Eastman Kodak Company and Intergraph consortium for the NGA's Softcopy Search Program. Pliable Display Technology is currently being integrated within the Paragon Imaging ELT Series software and is already available in Boeing Autometric's KDSP and Softplotter products. PDT is also integrated within Black Coral GIS, a new situational analysis tool that will be showcased at the Joint Warrior Interoperability Demonstration (JWID) Trials in June 2004. About IDELIX IDELIX is comprised of a team of scientists with expertise in the field of Information Visualization. Our leading product is Pliable Display Technology (PDT), an innovative visualization interface designed to improve situational awareness and decision-making capabilities of end-users. PDT facilitates "detail-in-context" magnification and editing functionality in digital imagery and multi-layer data sets. It addresses the common screen real estate challenges faced when working with complex 2D, 3D, multi-fused data sets and motion imagery within the spatial limits of any display screen. Major opportunities for PDT exist in markets where visualization software plays a large role such as Defense and Intelligence, GIS and Remote Sensing, CAD/CAM, Handheld/Wireless, and Oil and Gas Exploration and Production. About Intelligence Data Systems Intelligence Data Systems specializes in geospatial and imagery systems architecture design, project management, data warehouse, data mining, database management, UNIX/NT system/server administration, and web-based application development. They provide engineering support for acquisition and accommodation procurements, and utilize rapid prototyping tools to demonstrate significant system alternatives and to quickly promote an idea into operational usage. Specific competencies include: System Engineering, Software Development, System Development and Integration, Network and System Services, and Linguist Services.
