One of US's largest school districts implements VisionTree Software to increase operational efficiency and instructional effectiveness

Prince George's County School District in Maryland Applies VisionTree Professional to Instruction and Planning Strategies

SAN DIEGO, CA, July 25, 2005 -- VisionTree Software (, makers of relevant decision making software solutions for individuals and organizations, today announced the successful implementation of VisionTree Professional at the Prince George's School District in Maryland.

Prince George's School District in Upper Marlboro, Md., is one of the largest school districts in the United States, with more than 10,000 teachers and staff, 135,000 students and 200 schools.

VisionTree Professional will allow school district administrators, teachers, community leaders and others to gather group consensus on a number of vital issues facing the district, including curriculum development and strategic planning. Through the conversion of school performance data and input of factors unique to the situation, VisionTree Professional delivers a reliable and user-friendly process to make relevant, data-driven decisions.

"VisionTree Professional is the perfect fit for our district's approach to technology and school improvement planning," said Lisa Spencer, the Administrative Information Systems Training and Support Manager. "The software enables us to work as a team and bring together all stakeholders to achieve common goals and to make decisions in the best interest of children. VisionTree encourages group dialogue and collaboration and to efficiently and effectively identify and overcome obstacles to support us in achieving our goals."

There are now over 100 schools incorporating VisionTree Professional into their group consensus decision making and planning processes. The software was also recently implemented in the Escondido, Calif., School District, where a group of district and community leaders credit the software with helping them develop an action plan on critical issues five months ahead of their target date.

And in the Council Bluffs Community School District in southwest Iowa, a panel of school and community officials used VisionTree Professional to help them reach a consensus on how to reduce the drop-out rate and develop a plan based on data gathered during a five-year audit. The panel noted that VisionTree Professional helped them stay focused, set priorities and reach a consensus in just one meeting.

"School Districts of every size are responsible for decisions that ultimately have an enormous impact on students, teachers and staff, and the community as a whole," said Idego Methodologies, Inc. President Martin Pellinat. "We are committed to providing school and civic leaders with the technology to help them share goals, encourage dialogue, develop plans and take decisive action to improve their schools and communities."

VisionTree software also includes VisionTree Classroom Online, which is utilized in schools across the country to enhance curriculum, strengthen knowledge retention and assessment and engage students in subject material.
