RALEIGH, N.C., Aug. 30, 2006 -- Misys Healthcare Systems (www.misyshealthcare.com), a market leader in healthcare IT, today announced the release of Misys Data Warehouse(TM) 4.0, a tool to provide clinicians with enterprise-wide data analysis of information stored in an Oracle-supported database. Misys Data Warehouse 4.0 features 80 different enhancements, to optimize analysis of information supplied from Misys CPR(TM). Clinicians can provide better care with the ability to measure and improve clinical process and clinical outcomes, using Misys Data Warehouse to analyze information across patients' reports.

Clinicians and executives utilize Misys Data Warehouse's reporting tools, enhanced by Oracle Discover, to make strategic operational decisions for each specific business unit by analyzing items such as the number of procedures, success rates, and similarities and differences in patient records. To maximize customers' use of the product, Misys project executives worked closely with healthcare executives to develop additional reports, collecting the most valuable information.

Product enhancements in version 4.0 expand data extraction functionality, reporting capabilities, product utilities for an improved user experience and database management. Enhancements include:

-- Data Extraction: While Misys CPR contains information on specific patients, extracting that information for Misys Data Warehouse allows clinicians to evaluate procedures across all patients in all departments. Enhancements to data extraction functionality include adding the ability to extract individual events, generic data element information, patient priority lists and other critical information from Misys CPR. Also, Misys Interface codes are now supported.

-- Reporting: Misys Data Warehouse reporting capabilities transform the product from a simple database tool to a robust, decision-making solution. More than 20 enhancements include improved reporting capabilities, bed history events, bed type, patient archive information and 'partial events' support, and ability to remove invalid visit conversion records.

-- Utilities: To improve upon the user experiences, Misys Data Warehouse 4.0 features an Operations Console with enhanced 'refresh' capabilities and improved load performance and a Data Validation Console to perform and streamline the data quality validation process. A new package is included for date conversions and system backup has been improved.

-- Database Management: Misys Data Warehouse implements locally managed tablespaces and new Samba Mounts to support directory structure changes.
