3-D holographic displays can deliver vital advantages on the battlefield and in Homeland Security operations

High-impact comparisons next week at I/ITSEC in Orlando

BIRMINGHAM, Mich., Nov. 30, 2006 -- In what promise to be high- impact comparisons next week, Intrepid Defense & Security Systems will demonstrate how 3-D high-definition holographic displays can let battlefield commanders appear to position themselves realistically in the midst of action without having to wear electronic goggles or special glasses. Similarly, the stunning realism of next-generation 3-D technology can give homeland security forces powerful surveillance capabilities.

In first-time, side-by-side comparisons at next week's I/ITSEC national conference, Intrepid will present stereo video input on its super-high- resolution LifeVision(TM)3-D holographic system and simultaneously will display the same input on standard 2-D systems.

150,000 visitors are expected to attend I/ITSEC, the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference, Dec 4 - 7 in the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando. They will be able to witness Intrepid's 3-D vs. 2-D comparisons at the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) exhibit booth, #739. Intrepid and RDECOM's Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC), through a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA), are jointly investigating potential military applications for 3-D holographic displays which include wide-area surveillance, local area security, facial recognition, night vision and vehicle operation.

I/ITSEC is a venue for industry, higher education and the U.S. Armed Forces to share problem-solving experiences and advanced technologies that could prove essential in dealing with global challenges, economic and military, alike. The annual conference is organized by NDIA, the National Defense Industrial Association. Information is available at http://www.iitsec.org .

Intrepid Defense & Security Systems is developing 3-D holographic "weapons of mass protection" for national defense and homeland security applications. Intrepid attracted international attention early this year for its role in security operations at the Super Bowl in Detroit. Visit http://www.IntrepidDefense.com .
