Intergraph announces Call for Presentations for GeoSpatial World 2005

Seeking presentations on geospatial technology and solutions used to improve operational decision making

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., August 2, 2004 - Intergraph Mapping and Geospatial Solutions and the Intergraph GeoSpatial Users Community (IGUC), sponsors of GeoSpatial World, today invited geospatial professionals to submit papers for the fifth annual conference. GeoSpatial World 2005, the IGUC international training and management conference, will be held at the Hilton San Francisco (California) April 26-28. The conference is the premier event for Intergraph customers and individuals interested in learning more about managing and applying geospatial information and solutions from an international perspective and features the latest information from customers, partners and Intergraph on merging geospatial technology with information technology and business process improvement tools to meet business-critical needs.

GeoSpatial World 2005 will build on the success of the past year's conference, which experienced record attendance. The format for the technical program will again feature tracks with specific themes, bringing focus to each of the presentations.

Call for presentations

Conference organizers are seeking abstracts that are directly applicable to one or more of these industries: utilities; transportation; local and regional government; military and intelligence; national and federal government; photogrammetry and remote sensing; and communications. Also being accepted are presentation proposals that will be of interest to management and the enterprise, such as how to meet project demands while increasing return on investment. Presentation proposals on new, unusual or innovative uses of Intergraph technology that do not readily fit into the specified industry categories are also encouraged. Abstracts may range from implementation processes to project results, organizational and management issues, new applications, expanded solutions and lessons learned along the way.

Applicants may participate by presenting a paper, presenting a workshop, and organizing and moderating a panel discussion. New for 2005, individuals may participate by presenting an industry solution poster paper, which is a visual display or storyboard of geospatial project data and findings, research projects, select industry solutions or similar topic matter. All presentations must relate to Intergraph Mapping and Geospatial Solutions technology, products or solutions or Intergraph partners' component technology or solutions. As a benefit of participation, primary presenters of papers and workshops and the primary organizers of panel discussions will receive complimentary registration to GeoSpatial World 2005. Co-presenters along with presenters of industry solution posters are eligible for a 50 percent discount off the conference registration rate. The deadline for abstract submission is October 31, 2004.
