Catalina Marketing expands Netezza footprint; analyzes 400 Billion records using single largest data warehouse appliance ever purchased
Framingham, Mass., December 5, 2006 -— Netezza, the global data warehouse appliance market leader, today announced that Catalina Marketing Corporation (NYSE: POS) has purchased the Netezza Performance Server® (NPS®) 10800 system to comprehensively analyze data from its database of more than 130 million shopper households. At 100 terabytes, the NPS 10800 is currently the single largest data warehouse appliance ever sold and will serve as Catalina’s primary analytic data warehouse system.
