Initiate Systems ranked as a CDI Leader by independent research firm; received perfect score for corporate strategy
CHICAGO, IL, December 22, 2006 -- Initiate Systems, Inc., a leading provider of customer-centric master data management solutions for creating complete, real-time views of data about people, households, and organizations, today announced that it has advanced its 2005 position as a “Strong Performer” to “Leader” in the December 22 Forrester Wave™: Customer Data Integration Vendor Summary, Q4 2006. In addition to citing a number of product, management and sales strengths, Forrester noted that “Initiate Systems leads pure plays with the strongest overall strategy, rich data cleansing and customer battle-tested matching capabilities.” The firm also forecasted that with the “recent growth and number of deals closed, Initiate remains on track toward an aggressive growth trajectory and international expansion.”
In the weighted competition, which is based on past research, user needs assessments, and vendor and expert interviews, Initiate was recognized as the vendor with the highest scores for security and privacy; as the cross-reference registry style leader; and for its overall strategy based on the company’s strong management team and rock-solid execution. The company also was recognized as the only vendor with built-in householding capabilities for B2C companies; as having the largest pure-play customer hub; and for its real-time matching capabilities, improved hierarchy management with support for complex B2B requirements, rapid implementation times and data federation functionality. The information was released today in the latest Forrester Wave report on customer data integration (CDI) that evaluated the top nine CDI solutions across 134 criteria, which were grouped according to the current offering, overall strategy and market presence.
“We are pleased that Forrester has ranked Initiate as a Leader in the CDI space and has recommended that we be considered on the shortlists for most industries making CDI buying decisions,” said Bill Conroy, president and CEO, Initiate Systems. “We believe that Initiate Systems provides the most accurate and proven CDI solution available, and are pleased to be recognized by a respected firm such as Forrester Research.”
Top vendors selected for evaluation all have CDI customers in production running generally available product; provide a complete, packaged CDI solution; license their software offerings to provide on-site customer data management capabilities; and have a strong following among Forrester clients. Forrester noted that Initiate remains well suited to healthcare, public sector and pharmacy, and cited that the company’s “strong high volume real-time matching and rapid implementation lends itself well to B2C industries such as hospitality, retail, and consumer products as well as B2B scenarios such as high-tech industries and 3PL.” Forrester also acknowledged that with its ability to execute both on the engineering and sales sides, the Initiate “management team may be one of the best run in the industry.”
More than 90 organizations have deployed Initiate Systems software, including Microsoft Corporation, Intuit, Countrywide Financial, United Healthcare, WellPoint, Wells Fargo, Albertson’s Inc., CVS Pharmacy, Department of Veterans Affairs, Choice Hotels International, Ingenix, Inc., Northrop Grumman, RxHub LLC, Sentara Healthcare and Sutter Health.
