Jaros business intelligence solution expected to improve automotive supplier's business visibility and organizational efficiency

GRANITE CITY, Ill., Aug. 11, 2004 -- Jaros Technologies, a global provider of business analytics software solutions for manufacturers, today announced that it has partnered with the ArvinMeritor Commercial Vehicle Systems (CVS) business group to implement a comprehensive Business Intelligence Infrastructure solution for Oracle and other ERP systems. With $8 billion in annual revenue, ArvinMeritor serves light vehicle, commercial truck, trailer and specialty original equipment manufacturers and related aftermarkets.

Upon successful implementation of Jaros Analytics in Europe, Jaros and ArvinMeritor will collaborate on creating a global solution for data warehousing that will be used to improve business visibility and operational efficiencies across 24 facilities in 11 countries. As a leading supplier to automotive leaders such as DaimlerChrysler, GM, Ford and Volvo, ArvinMeritor required a solution that allowed them to quickly and cost effectively integrate and access information to enable reporting and analysis across multiple facilities, locations, and ERP systems -- providing maximum flexibility and responsiveness to changing business and systems requirements.

"ArvinMeritor's information needs span a large number of business processes and require timely integration of numerous data sources and system types," said Stan Choflet, VP of Sales and Marketing at Jaros. "By combining information from across the company in a single place, ArvinMeritor gains improved visibility into global operations. We expect this partnership to yield significant improvements in operational efficiency and align with ArvinMeritor's ongoing commitment to improving customer service and reducing costs internally. By leveraging our packaged approach to data warehousing, ArvinMeritor will achieve global visibility faster and more efficiently."

"Installing the Jaros proof of concept in Europe demonstrated how Jaros easily integrates with Oracle applications, and we experienced first-hand the benefits and capabilities of their product," said Jay McLean, vice president of IT for ArvinMeritor's Commercial Vehicle Systems business group. "We only work with flexible, industry-leading technology innovators who share our commitment to developing effective global business intelligence infrastructure solutions. After evaluating the alternatives, Jaros was chosen as the best fit."
