from DSSResources.comMEGA International introduces MEGA Advisor for on-demand web access to repository informationLONDON, September 26, 2007 -– MEGA International, the global leader in process excellence and enterprise architecture, today introduced MEGA Advisor, the only software solution that extends dynamic Web-based intelligent reporting on strategic business process analysis (BPA) and enterprise architecture (EA) information to an entire corporate organization, beyond modeling users. This is the first on-demand, Web-based reporting application for EA and BPA that adapts to the viewer's perspective, and filters through the vast amount of information in the repository to present a Web portal that is accessible and user-friendly. It is designed specifically for users who do not perform modeling activities, but need to access essential business process modeling information. Until now, only modeling users in a company had direct access to the EA repositories. This brings the benefits of EA modeling to an operational level for all departments and employees. MEGA Advisor is the newest offering in the MEGA Modeling Suite for EA and business process modeling. The company also introduced enhanced operations across all of the modules in the MEGA Modeling Suite and new interfaces between the MEGA Modeling Suite and IBM® WebSphere® Integration Developer (WID), Software AG CentraSite™, and Systar® BusinessBridge®. These industry-leading vendors offer complementary software solutions in Business Process Management (BPM), service-oriented architecture (SOA), and Business Activity Monitoring (BAM). (See separate announcements.) Combined with the new interfaces, MEGA Advisor offers businesses truly intelligent reporting, by integrating MEGA BPA and EA information with dynamic indicators from third party tools. MEGA Advisor offers: Role-based content delivery. The definition of user profiles enables a presentation of the MEGA Advisor portal that filters through the vast amounts of information available from the enterprise repository to give a targeted view, including a specific home page and favorites. Integration with other tools. The modular architecture of the Web portal enables it to interface with runtime tools so that dynamic indicators and other external data from other applications or resources can be incorporated into the MEGA Advisor portal. A new interface, MEGA BusinessBridge, ensures that the BAM indicators managed directly within Systar BusinessBridge can be automatically accessed from the MEGA Advisor portal. On-demand generation of Web pages, giving access to the most recent information from the MEGA repository. Secure access. For network security, access can be configured using HTTPS. For data security, the same Confidentiality Levels defined in the MEGA Modeling Suite apply to MEGA Advisor, allowing the association of an object-level data confidentiality definition with a user profile. High level of customization of MEGA Advisor portal content and the interface. Dynamic query of the MEGA Repository and dynamic generation of analysis reports. Multiple languages. Possibility to display the Web pages in multiple languages on demand. Multiple repositories. Access to multiple repositories through the same Web portal.
