3rd Annual Midwest Assn. for Information Systems (MWAIS) conference May 23-24, 2008 in Eau Claire, WI

Eau Claire, WI, Decmber 23, 2007 -- The third annual Midwest Association for Information Systems (MWAIS) Conference will be held May 23-24, 2008 in beautiful Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The University of Wisconsin-Eau Clair is located along valleys and bluffs of the Chippewa River about 80 miles East of Minneapolis/St. Paul and the Eau Clair regional airport provides service to the Twin Cities and Chicago.

The goal of the conference is to provide a venue for Midwest area Information Systems academics and practitioners who wish to be involved with the Association for Information Systems on a smaller scale than the large international conferences. The exchange of ideas is focused on pedagogy and research within a small and social setting.

Conference Keynote Speakers include Rita Heise, CIO of Cargill and Dr. John King, Professor and Vice Provost for Academic Information at the University of Michigan.

IMPORTANT DATES

Submission Deadline for Full Length Papers: February 1st, 2008 (Extended to March 1, 2008)

Submission Deadline for Research in Progress, Panels, Workshops, and Tutorial Proposals: February 15th, 2008 (Extended to March 1, 2008)

Notification of Acceptance/Rejection: March 15th,2008

Camera Ready Copy and Author Registration Deadline: April 1st, 2008

Inquiries and Submissions

Submissions should be sent by e mail to both program co chairs at germonr@uwec.edu (Matt Germonprez)and Iversen@uwosh.edu (Jakob Iversen)no later than the above dates. All communication with the authors of submitted papers will be via e mail.Submission acknowledgement,the review process,and acceptance notification will be managed via e mail.Instructions for camera ready copy will be provided via e mail to the corresponding authors of accepted papers.

Submission Guidelines

We invite submissions of completed manuscripts, research in progress papers, panel proposals,and workshop proposals addressing behavioral,organizational, and technical aspects of information systems.T wo to three parallel sessions are planned. A computer lab will be available if needed. Submitted papers and proposals will undergo a blind review by at least two reviewers.To facilitate the blind review,include the title of the paper,names,affiliations, mailing addresses,e-mail addresses,and phone numbers of all authors on a cover page submitted as a separate document from the body of the manuscript. Include only the title of the paper at the beginning of the manuscript. In the case of multiple authorship,designate the corresponding author with a footnote on the cover page. Please do not include any author or affiliation identification on any page of the paper (except the separate cover page),in headings,footers,or in the properties of the submitted file. Previously published work or work under review elsewhere is not eligible for submission.All submissions should be submitted electronically in MS Word.
