Delta Dental determined that they could achieve their business goals more quickly while reducing costs by using the Pentaho Open BI Suite with subscription services. They were able to deliver business benefits in Phase 1 of their project with Pentaho in only four months. DDVA tapped the technology and business expertise of OpenBI LLC, a Pentaho Systems Integrator Partner, to quickly understand their needs and apply Pentaho's best-in-class solutions to the business problem.

The Pentaho-based application provides web-based historical reporting to DDVA's clients, facilitating their access to summary claims information, claims expense, network utilization, dentist payments, and enrollment data. The system runs on an Oracle Linux server with a JBoss Application Server and an Oracle 10g Database.
