The call for papers notes "Business Intelligence (BI) and Knowledge Management (KM) involve exciting, cutting-edge technologies, applications, and processes for gathering, storing, accessing, and analyzing data, information and knowledge for informed business decisions and improved organizational performance. By summarizing massive amounts of disparate, diverse data into succinct information and capturing valuable knowledge, BI and KM help managers better understand their business by developing insights into critical linkages between business objectives, operations, and performance." "In recent years, traditional approaches to BI have been expanded by companies embracing technologies to include unstructured data, real-time operational processes, pervasive approaches, collaboration, cloud computing, and customer-focused strategies. KM has included knowledge that exists in unstructured and visual forms and that intersects with technology, processes and people. In addition to the technical challenges, the associated business and management challenges that include economic, strategic, and behavioral issues are equally important. This research track aims to promote theoretical, design science, behavioral research in forward- thinking areas of BI/KM/DSS/Analytics."
