Price Check by Amazon is a price comparison app that provides shoppers the easiest way yet to compare in-store prices with the low prices on Amazon.com and its more than two million online merchants, across all categories of products -- from toys to consumer electronics. Shoppers can use the app to scan a barcode, snap a picture, or say or type a product name to see prices from Amazon.com and its other online merchants and read product reviews. Shoppers can then purchase the item with 1-Click and have it delivered directly to their doorstep.

With Price Check by Amazon for Android, shoppers can price check four ways:

-- Scan a barcode: Amazon's barcode scanner will match an item and provide pricing from Amazon.com and its other online merchants in seconds. One exclusive feature to the Android app is the ability to scan in either portrait or landscape mode, making it faster and easier to find products.

-- Snap a picture: Snap a photo and instantly match the picture to books, DVDs, CDs, video games and more.

-- Say the product name: Speak the name of a product to return accurate product matches and pricing from Amazon.com and its other online merchants.

-- Type your search: Type the product name to instantly find products and prices.

Using Price Check by Amazon is fast and simple. For example, a customer may be shopping for a blender in a home store and decide to compare the in-store price of the item to Amazon.com and across more than two million online merchants on Amazon. With Price Check, the customer scans the barcode on the blender, and immediately the app displays prices sorted from lowest to highest. When available, the results show the Amazon.com price -- with eligibility for FREE Super Saver Shipping or FREE Two-Day Shipping with Amazon Prime. Price Check Overview

Price Check by Amazon for iPhone or iPod touch offers detailed price comparison information for millions of products available from Amazon.com and our thousands of merchant sellers. Search for items via barcode scan, image search, voice search, or text search. The Price Check app displays price comparisons, product descriptions, and product reviews.

Note: Amazon Price Check can be used on any iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 4.0 or higher installed. To check your iOS, go to Settings > General > About > Version to read your current iOS installation. Installing Price Check

To utilize the Price Check application from your iPhone or iPod touch, you'll need to visit the iPhone App Store and download the Price Check application.

Sharing Prices with Us

The advertised in-store prices you submit (at your option) in Price Check help ensure the best prices possible to all Amazon customers. If you want to submit in-store prices on the product pages of Price Check while you are out shopping, use Price Check on your iPhone or iPod touch with "Location Services" (in your mobile device's Settings menu) enabled for Price Check.

Searching for Items

You can find a product on your iPhone or iPod Touch using four search methods:

Type It: Tap this search bar to find a product by entering a search term and tapping the Go button at the bottom of the keyboard when complete.

Scan It: Tap this button to scan a barcode by placing the orange indicator arrows around the barcode. Once the barcode is recognized, the product search will begin automatically so you do not need to press any buttons. If you are having trouble scanning, please ensure the barcode is upright and in a well-lit area. The Scan It function is only available for devices with iOS 4.0 or higher installed.

Snap It: Tap this button to instantly search for a product by snapping a photo of the front of the item. Snap It works best for books, DVDs, CDs, and video games.

Say It: Tap this button to search for a product with a voice string. The app typically recognizes when you are done speaking, but you may also choose to tap Done when you are finished speaking your search term.

If Price Check found several related products, the top search results will be displayed. Scroll through the results on each screen to sift through the available products. Price Check will display the lowest price available for a new item.

To refine your search results: Tap the Refine button on the search results page and choose from the available categories.

Viewing Product Details

Tap on the desired item in the search results to view the product details. You can also get directly to product details from a Snap It or Scan It product search that was able to identify your exact item.

To share the product with a friend by e-mail, SMS, Facebook, Twitter: Tap the Share icon on the bottom of the screen.

Placing Your Order

Scroll down on the product detail page for product availability and your buying options. Click on the seller you wish to purchase from to bring you to the merchant page.

To order using Mobile 1-Click:

Visit the product merchant page for any item.

Tap the Buy Now with 1-Click button. Amazon Prime members will also see 1-Click ordering options depending on the Prime delivery options available. If you simply see a Buy Now button, tap that and we'll walk you through just a couple of steps to complete your purchase.

To order through the Shopping Cart:

Visit the product merchant page for any item.

Tap the Add to Cart button. You'll see the cart icon at the bottom of the screen change.

Tap the Shopping Cart tab when you are finished adding items to your cart. If you need to edit the items in your cart, or wish to move items to/from Cart to Save For Later, tap the Edit button in the upper left corner and tap the appropriate button(s).

Tap the Checkout button in the upper right-hand corner when you are ready to complete your order.

Review your order. You can edit payment method, shipping address, and shipping options by tapping on those items on the Review Order screen. Tap the Place Order button to complete your purchase.

You'll see an order confirmation screen when your purchase has been completed.

Setting Up Mobile 1-Click

To make purchasing on the Price Check app fast and easy, you can turn Mobile 1-Click on with just a few simple steps. If you already have 1-Click enabled for your computer, we'll display the default settings so you can confirm them when you first sign-in within the Price Check app.

To turn on Mobile 1-Click from Price Check:

Tap the Settings icon at the top-left corner of the home screen on the Price Check app.

Select Your Account and then View or Change 1-Click Settings under the Account Settings section.

Sign in with your e-mail address and password if prompted.

Set the Mobile 1-Click slider to ON in the 1-Click Ordering section.

Review the name or phone number that appears in the Mobile Phone Name section. Simply tap the box and enter new information if you want to change it.

Select a default shipping address and payment method by tapping on the Shipping Address and Payment section. If the displayed information is correct, you don't need to make any changes.

You can also view your Mobile 1-Click settings in Your Account on your computer. You'll see a box in the upper right-hand corner labeled Mobile 1-Click that will display your device name or number and provide a button to turn off 1-Click if you wish.

Reviewing or Changing Your Order

You can view and change orders you place through Your Account using Price Check just as you can when visiting Amazon.com on a computer. To view, edit, or cancel your orders tap on the Settings button at the top-left of the home screen of Price Check.

To view, edit, or cancel your orders:

Once on the Your Account page:

Tap the View/Cancel Items or Orders or Track Packages option. Either selection will display your order history.

Sign into your Amazon.com account if prompted.

Select a displayed order by tapping the View or track order option.

If your order has not entered the shipping process, you'll see options to edit or cancel the order.

If the order you wish to view is not displayed, change the View Order Period option at the top of the Order Summary screen.

Order Consolidation

If you place multiple mobile orders within 30 minutes, Amazon.com will combine Amazon fulfilled orders into as few shipments as possible to reduce shipping costs.
