Teradata University Network (TUN) Teaching Innovation Award nominations due May 31st, 2013

May 7, 2013 -- Teradata University Network (TUN) is a free, web-based portal that provides teaching and learning content and hands-on, industrial-strength software tools for use by faculty and students in data warehousing, business intelligence/analytics and database curriculum. The new TUN Teaching Innovation Award is designed to recognize excellence in the scholarship of teaching in the area of Business Intelligence and Business Analytics at the undergraduate, graduate and/or executive education levels.

REQUIREMENTS

TUN seeks ready-to-use applications of teaching content for undergraduate, graduate and/or executive level students related to themes including, but not limited to Digital Marketing, Data Visualization and Big Data. The submission could be a case, an assignment using real data that leverages TUN software, or some other specially designed content that faculty can leverage to deliver high quality learning experiences. All submissions must include teaching notes.

Submissions evaluated by the TUN Awards Committee on the following criteria:

Submission Quality – including teaching readiness

Teaching Notes - richness of notes and supporting materials

Innovation - in providing new concepts and learning

AWARD

TUN will select one winner who will choose from either:

1) Conference funding to 2013 ICIS, up to $3000 or

2) $1000 pedagogical honorarium.

If the winner chooses, ICIS 2013 in Milan, Italy, they will be required to share the winning submission at the TUN Reception. the winning submission at the TUN Reception.

All TUN Faculty Members (joint industry/academic submissions are encouraged)

Winner Notification: June 30, 2013
