ACNielsen chosen by Wrigley for sales analysis and consumer insights; innovative ACNielsen tools and wide range of support critical to Wrigley's decision

SCHAUMBURG, Ill., Jan. 4, 2005--ACNielsen U.S., an operating unit of ACNielsen, a VNU business, today announced that it has been selected as the new preferred provider of syndicated marketing information and consumer insights for the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company (NYSE:WWY). Wrigley, a recognized leader in the confectionery field and the world's largest manufacturer and marketer of gum, is home to some of the best-known brands in the world, including Doublemint(R), Wrigley's Spearmint(R), Big Red(R), Juicy Fruit(R), Winterfresh(R), Extra(R), Freedent(R), Hubba Bubba(R), Orbit(R) and Eclipse(R).
