"Release 2.0 expands on all of the same user-friendly functionality that has quickly made Mark IV one of the industry's most successful application-processing software platforms," said Steve Sargent, Cypress president and CEO. "It incorporates many new features that have been requested from our growing user base, while ensuring that those community banks and other financial institutions are current with the latest regulatory requirements in their industry." According to Sargent, some of the key features and functionality of Mark IV Release 2.0 include: -- Ability to create flexible loan types - While Release 1.0 contained a set of eight pre-defined consumer loan products, Release 2.0 allows administrators to add, name and set deployment dates for an unlimited number of loan types unique to their institution. These new loan types are integrated with the institution's unique policy rules, procedures, industry or proprietary scorecard s and risk-based loan pricing matrices. -- Email and notification enhancements - With Release 2.0, users now have an email forms button that allows for an attachment of Mark IV active reports in PDF format. Recipients can be selected from the Mark IV user's list, the new Mark IV contact manager/CRM feature and/or a Microsoft Outlook contact manager. These tools improve the user's communications skills both within the institution and to external applicants. -- Web ILink - Web ILink is a new tab that provides users with an embedded browser window to the Internet. Users have controlled access to look up collateral values, geocodes and other information from within Mark IV via the institution's Intranet or various external links. Users with administrative access can submit trouble tickets, review Cypress news and download software updates. Other new features include improved tools for managing an institution's policy exceptions, enhancements for managing relationship lending and support for dual- or triple-merged credit reports from the major credit repositories. Like Release 1.0, the new release of Mark IV allows lenders to take loan applications electronically while interviewing applicants, quickly retrieve credit reports, efficiently review sources of repayment, and deploy their loan policies. Cypress provides these tools to community and regional financial institutions with the goal of speeding a quality loan decision back to the applicant.
