Agile Software makes grant to University of Texas at Dallas School of Management

SAN JOSE, Calif., July 1, 2004 -- Agile Software Corporation (Nasdaq: AGIL), a leading provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions, today announced it has donated Agile PLM software and services to the University of Texas at Dallas School of Management for use in its Center for Intelligent Supply Chain Networks and Center for Information Technology Management. Established in 1969 and based in Richardson, Texas, the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) Cohort MBA program is ranked by U.S. News and World Report as one of the top 100 full-time MBA programs in the United States. UTD's School of Management supports new Masters' specializations in e- commerce, telecommunications management, and information technology management and consulting along with its traditional Masters' and MBA concentrations.

The Center for Intelligent Supply Chain Networks (C4ISN) was established in spring 2003, and brings together a community of supply chain experts from academia and industry to collaborate on and share information on lessons learned and best practices in intelligent supply networks. Agile's latest release, Agile 9, is already installed and operational within the C4ISN's Center of Excellence. With the Agile PLM solution, the C4ISN trains students and provides feedback on Agile software. In addition, the C4ISN is creating a PLM certificate program aimed at potential consultants and users. Agile also holds a seat on the C4ISN's advisory board, which provides strategic direction to the center and its research initiatives and academic programs.

The CITM focuses on applications and the effects of technology on business models and processes. The Agile PLM solution is installed within the CITM lab, where it is being used to develop Agile expertise and enhance their consulting practice.

"With the number of high technology companies located in the Dallas area, there is clearly a need to understand the competitive difference that innovative technology like Agile PLM can make to an organization," said Paul Peck, C4ISN advisory board member, and vice president of operations, Covaro Networks. "Agile's generous grant of its software and services will provide students and consultants coming out of the CITM and the C4ISN a greater educational experience."

"I am pleased to donate our Agile PLM solution to UTD's Center of Information Technology Management and Center for Intelligent Supply Networks," said Bryan Stolle, Agile CEO. "Product profitability requires flawless cross- functional execution; outsourced design and manufacturing continues to be on the rise; companies are being regulated more than ever. These are all critical business issues that Agile PLM is helping solve today, and these same issues will certainly be faced by executives in the future."
