RightNow on Demand CRM empowers NZ Postal Division to streamline and optimize core sales processes

Datamail Deploys RightNow Sales on Demand CRM Solution to Enhance Forecasting, Opportunity Management and Other Critical Operations

BOZEMAN, Mont., Feb. 17, 2005 -- RightNow(R) Technologies (Nasdaq: RNOW), a leading provider of on demand CRM software solutions, today announced New Zealand Post's document solutions subsidiary, Datamail, has deployed RightNow Sales(TM) to streamline and optimize core sales processes -- from forecasting and opportunity management to proposal and bid generation. Datamail is a RightNow solutions distributor in New Zealand.

As a result of the RightNow implementation, Datamail's sales staff is able to spend more time selling and less time bogged down in paperwork. It also enables Datamail management to better forecast revenue and assess sales team performance.

Before implementing RightNow Sales, Datamail sales staff manually entered sales forecasts in individual spreadsheets that then had to be rolled up into complex management reports. RightNow eliminates this process, allowing consolidated forecasts to be instantly created.

RightNow Sales also makes it easy for Datamail to track opportunities throughout the sales cycle, and RightNow ensures every step in the process is executed in a timely and appropriate manner. Plus, the solution also simplifies the creation of consistent, accurate proposal/bid documents.

Datamail will use RightNow Sales in collaboration with RightNow Marketing(TM) and RightNow Service(TM) to create a fully integrated CRM environment.

"RightNow Sales is a powerful tool for capturing and managing sales data to enable faster, better business decision-making," Vivian Morresey, sales systems manager at Datamail, said. "Even more important, it is providing Datamail with a strategic platform for both enhancing our sales operations and integrating those operations with marketing and customer service."

RightNow's on demand model enables Datamail to reap all these CRM software benefits without the ownership costs and management headaches associated with conventional, internally provisioned enterprise applications.

"Despite the significant business benefits that enterprise-class sales-force automation and/or CRM software can deliver, return-on-investment can be fairly low, if it's too expensive or takes too long to realize," Sean Forbes, vice president of marketing and business development at RightNow, said. "Datamail proves again how RightNow's on demand model overcomes these potential ROI inhibitors -- in addition to the tremendous positive impact RightNow Sales can have for salespeople, sales managers and C-level executives."
