from DSSResources.comCall for participation: International workshop on context modeling and decision support, Paris, France, July 5, 2005Paris, France, May 18, 2005 -- Workshop Background and Goals: The modeling and use of contexts for the adaptation of information to a decision-maker’s evolving situation and information needs offers a great potential for improving decision support services. At the same time, this approach can cause several new challenges concerning the creation and the maintenance of the context model, including barriers associated with scalability, integration, usability, and novel design problems. The objective of this workshop is to facilitate intellectual exchange on current research in contextual modeling and decision support. The objective of the workshop is to actively investigate state-of-the-art methodologies and techniques for developing context-based decision support systems. Workshop Program Based on a strong response from the scientific community, the organizers put together a full day workshop organized around four sessions, each of which considers a specific aspect of context modeling and decision support. The full program of the workshop is available at: http://ec.cba.hawaii.edu/context/program.html Registration Information Registration for the workshop is included in the CONTEXT-05 conference package (at no additional cost). Workshop participants have to register from the main CONTEXT’05 website (http://www.context-05.org, section "My Registration"). Therefore, participants can attend the workshop and the conference. Do not forget to mention that you intend to attend workshop #9: Context and Decision! Workshop Organizers Tung X.
