CollabraSpace enhances BEA's Employee Self-Service portal with collaborative functionality
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 27, 2005 -- CollabraSpace(R), a leading provider of web-based collaboration solutions for government and commercial enterprises, today announced that it has partnered with BEA to integrate CollabraSuite(R), a secure, real-time collaboration platform, into BEA's Employee Self-Service (ESS) portal offering.
Together, the CollabraSpace solution and BEA's ESS portal provide collaborative capabilities for a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) that integrates people, processes and data within a seamless collaborative environment. The results are improved productivity, agility and speed for business and IT.
"As a part of a Service Oriented Architecture, CollabraSuite enables collaboration to become a natural extension of portal operations," said Rick Havrilla, CollabraSpace's Chief Technology Officer. "Working with BEA's ESS portal demonstrates the seamless integration of collaboration across the enterprise."
SOA has emerged as the leading IT strategy for streamlining service delivery. It enables services to be secured, managed and assembled into composite applications and processes. CollabraSuite, a set of web-based collaboration components, will complement the ESS platform with a sophisticated set of graphical modules that form into an environment in which employees can work and communicate more effectively.
Key portal features include presence awareness, associates lists, shared whiteboards, audio/video web conferencing and chat. The resulting employee- centric solution offers extended, customized features and convenient access to employees' HR and financial information, and training needs.
CollabraSpace will showcase the extended collaborative capabilities of the ESS portal at BEA's World Conference from September 27 to 29, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA. To view a demo, visit booth 448.
