WILIMINGTON, Del., Sept. 27, 2005 -- Supply Chain Consultants (SCC), designer and supplier of the Zemeter suite of supply chain management software products, announced today the availability of Version 4.0. In addition to a number of features that provide a greater ease of use and flexibility, Zemeter 4.0 features the ability to optimally combine forecasting data from multiple sources.

Building on some innovative research pioneered by Professor Robin Roundy at Cornell University, SCC has developed a breakthrough method to optimize the process for combining different demand forecasts. These demand inputs include information statistically created by Zemeter, as well as information gathered on an exception basis through collaboration with users. This analysis allows companies to consider the "economic significance" of including additional demand inputs from such sources as customers, sales representatives, and marketing.

This latest version of Zemeter also features a new optimizer (COIN) as an option for the supply planner, as well as new methods to more effectively schedule operations. Zemeter 4.0 also provides users with an enhanced reporting and analysis capability.

The Zemeter software product suite includes Business Analyst, Collaborative Demand Planner, Supply Planner, Finite Scheduler, and Order Promising (ATP/CTP). Using these Zemeter software tools, manufacturing companies can capture data that will improve supply chain performance and help make more educated business decisions.
