Leading engineering services firm to integrate enterprise, meet lean objectives with IFS Business Software
CHICAGO, IL, July 20, 2006 -- IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announced today that Rampart Global, Inc., a lean engineering resource management firm, has signed a contract to implement IFS Applications(TM) 7 business software at its headquarters in Lisle, Illinois. IFS' web portals will enable Rampart to improve efficiency by fully integrating its enterprise, including customers, suppliers, and a nationwide network of engineering service providers. The contract was a joint effort of IFS, master distributor Corning Data Services(R) Inc., and Rampart.
"We are a project-centric business that uses both internal resources and an extensive network of external service providers," said David W. Dunn, president and CEO of Rampart Global. "IFS Applications is a mature, fully integrated, web-based solution that will enable our enterprise to operate seamlessly. IFS' strong support for lean processes will help us to meet our internal lean objectives -- and to help our customers meet theirs."
Rampart will use IFS web portals for real-time communication between its suppliers, customers, and network of service providers. IFS' integrated process modeling application, IFS Business Modeler(TM), will help Rampart enhance its business processes and maintain its position as a best-in-class provider of engineering services.
"One of the key considerations in our software selection was IFS' reputation for short, cost-effective implementations," Dunn said. "Both IFS and Corning have demonstrated that they are committed to our success, and we anticipate a mutually beneficial long-term relationship."
"We are very pleased to have the opportunity to partner with Rampart Global and believe our web-based solution is ideal for virtual, project-based businesses such as theirs," said Cindy Jaudon, president and CEO of IFS North America. "IFS Applications enables real-time communication throughout the enterprise, no matter how geographically dispersed it may be. The IFS solution gives companies the agility they need to meet the rapidly changing demands of their customers and the marketplace."
