PALO ALTO, Calif., Oct. 2, 2006 -- TIBCO Software Inc. (Nasdaq: TIBX), today unveiled TIBCO General Interface(TM) version 3.2, beta edition. TIBCO General Interface, which was rated as the best AJAX Rich Internet Application (RIA) toolkit by IDG's Infoworld this year, will provide developers with an open source licensing option and newly added functionality including support for Firefox 1.5. By offering an open source license developers will be able to freely use and extend TIBCO General Interface to more easily combine and leverage the powerful capabilities of a service- oriented architecture (SOA) with Rich Internet Applications (RIA) technology.

In addition, added support for Firefox 1.5 will expand the reach of applications developed with TIBCO General Interface to meet the growing demand for Firefox among developers and for use on business desktops.

Availability

TIBCO General Interface version 3.2 is available to the public now as a beta download. TIBCO will provide two licensing options: a free open source BSD license and the TIBCO enterprise license, which includes support, warranty and indemnity.
