Alliance Gaming announces Bally Casino Management System goes live at Barona Valley Ranch Resort & Casino

LAS VEGAS, July 27, 2004 -- Alliance Gaming Corp. (NYSE: AGI) announced today that its Bally Gaming and Systems business unit has gone live with an advanced casino management system at California's Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino from the Company's ACSC(TM) Product Group.

The San Diego-area resort already utilizes the Bally SDS(R) product for its slot accounting and single-wire ticketing, but the casino chose to displace a competitive system to install the ACSC CMS casino management system for the player tracking, customer service and data integration benefits. Barona Valley Ranch also runs the Bally eTICKET(TM) single-wire ticket-in, ticket-out solution, making the resort one of the more than 90 North American casino locations covering more than 83,000 slot machines with eTICKET.

The ACSC solution allows for the consolidation of player ratings for slots, tables and other gaming activity, a composite data base loyalty program, operational control of all casino operations, including slots, table game pits, cage / cashier and accounting functions, along with advanced complimentary issuance and control. The ACSC system also creates an advanced level of integration between the gaming floor, which includes 2,000 slots and more than 60 table games, and all of the resort and hospitality functions, including hotel, food and beverage, spa and golf activities.

"Barona Valley Ranch is without question one of the premier casino resorts in California and we're pleased that this unique combination of our systems products is the perfect fit for a property that prides itself on utilizing the most advanced technology to enhance the player experience," said Robert Miodunski, President and Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Gaming.

"With all of the different gaming, hospitality and resort activities we offer, it was critical to select a casino management system that ties everything together and ultimately allows us to offer our players a new level of service and an accurate accounting of the rewards they deserve," said Tony de Leon, Executive Director of Information Technology for Barona Valley Ranch Resort & Casino. "As our business expands, we recognized the need to convert to a system that is very dependable and scalable. The ACSC system was the ideal platform to solve these business needs."

Recognized as the industry leader with approximately 240,000 game monitoring units and more than 200 casino customers worldwide -- including more than 90 locations running Bally eTICKET(TM) on more than 83,000 slot machines -- the Bally Systems product line offers slot machine cash monitoring, cashless, accounting, security, maintenance, marketing, promotional and bonusing capabilities, enabling operators to accurately analyze performance and accountability while providing an enhanced level of customer service.
