Analytics ready for prime time: Spotfire DecisionSite 8 raises the bar in analytics with wide business applicability
SOMERVILLE, Mass., Aug. 9, 2004 -- Spotfire, Inc., a market leader in visual data analytics, today advanced its vision of pervasive business analytics with the announcement of Spotfire DecisionSite(TM) 8 software. The DecisionSite 8 Library provides a shared repository for analysis guides, files and posters, making it easy for users to share analysis methods and results and to deploy Guided Analytics applications across the enterprise. For those concerned with project management, the SmartLists feature tracks lists of critical elements such as leads, prospects, lots and batches. With the release of DecisionSite 8, Spotfire has also announced an upgraded server with enhanced services: the Spotfire DecisionSite Analytics Server. This new server enables DecisionSite 8 software to source data from disparate databases and links statistics engines from Insightful and the R Project into the interactive DecisionSite 8 environment (see separate August 9, 2004 press release "Spotfire Drives Business Analysis throughout the Enterprise").
