Oracle announces 2009 Oracle® Innovation Awards

Global Award Recognizes Customers for Innovative Deployments of Oracle Fusion Middleware

Oracle OpenWorld, San Francisco, Calif., October 14, 2009 -- The recipients of the 2009 Oracle® Innovation Award were announced at Oracle OpenWorld. The Oracle Innovation Award recognizes organizations for innovative deployments of Oracle Application Grid, Oracle Business Intelligence and Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System; components of Oracle Fusion Middleware.

The recipients of the 2009 Oracle Application Grid Innovation Award are: Agilent Technologies, Avis Budget Group Inc., Bank Zachodni WBK S.A., Barclays Global Investors, Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), Credit Suisse, Express & Transportation Research Institute (Korea), General Electric, JCrew Group Inc., Royal Bank of Scotland, TD AMERITRADE Holding Corporation, and VocaLink.

The recipients of the 2009 Oracle Business Intelligence/Enterprise Performance Management Innovation Award are: AWE, BT, CAE, City of NY, Continental Airlines, Dubai Aluminum, EuroChem, Florida State University, General Dynamics, Ingersoll Rand, Marsh, Mercer, NetApp, Pearson, Pernod Ricard, and Singapore General Hospital.

Business Intelligence Consulting Group (BICG) is the recipient of the Oracle BI/EPM Implementation Partner of the Year Award.

The award is co-sponsored by Oracle, the Australian Oracle User Group (AUSOUG), Independent Oracle User Group (IOUG), Oracle Application Users Group (OAUG), Oracle Development Tools User Group (ODTUG), Quest International Users Group (Quest), and United Kingdom Oracle User Group (UKOUG).

Today’s announcement supports Oracle’s strategy of delivering complete, integrated and end-to-end product suites on an open, standards-based middleware and database architecture. Oracle’s approach helps customers to simplify computing environments, lower cost and risk, and provides greater choice and flexibility.
