Geac wins 2004 "World Class Solution" award for best corporate performance management implementation
SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass., Oct. 6, 2004 - Geac(R) and one of its customers, direct mail merchandiser Miles Kimball Company, a division of Blyth Inc., have received a "World Class Solution" award from DM Review magazine for a highly successful corporate performance management solution that Geac implemented for Miles Kimball. Miles Kimball uses Geac MPC, part of the Geac Performance Management product family, for enterprise wide reporting and analysis, forecasting and budgeting. As a result of deploying the solution, Miles Kimball has dramatically streamlined its budgeting process, and has improved its ability to use real-time information to plan its catalogs, forecast and track orders, and staff its operations appropriately.
The Geac MPC-Miles Kimball solution received top honors in the "Corporate Performance Management" category from among three finalists in that category, and more than 80 entries across the entire competition. Established in 1996, DM Review's "World Class Solutions" program honors the elite within the business intelligence, analytics and data warehousing industry. Winners are selected by an independent panel of judges comprising technology experts and industry luminaries.
"Geac is honored to be the technology partner for the corporate performance management solution deemed best by the judges in this established and respected competition," said Jeffrey W. Murphy, Senior Vice President in charge of the global Geac Performance Management business. "Of course, the real tribute here is to the vision and creativity of Miles Kimball, whose management saw fit to employ Geac MPC in a way that makes a tangible and significant difference to their business. This is the kind of success story Geac is proud to enable, and the kind of customer relationship Geac always strives to create."
