from DSSResources.comDefenseWeb awarded contract to extend its online meeting management system to all Air Force bases nationwideSAN DIEGO, CA, Oct. 21, 2004 -- DefenseWeb Technologies, a premier custom software developer and systems integrator serving Defense Department (DoD) organizations, announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the Air Force to extend its Web-based meeting management system to all Air Force bases nationwide. DefenseWeb developed the online meeting management system for the Air Force Community Action Information Board/Integrated Delivery Systems (CAIB/IDS) last year, when it was tested at ten installations across two Major Commands (MAJCOMs). With the successful test, the Air Force has renewed and extended its contract with DefenseWeb to implement the application at more than 75 Air Force bases in the U.S. The Web-based application allows the Air Force to organize and distribute IDS meeting notes and other details in a standardized format from base to base; track the implementation and, ultimately, the outcome of the various programs; and report the results to Headquarters. The system also provides a single, centralized resource where all Air Force bases can access IDS reports, directives, announcements and news. The application brings together information for a number of Air Force programs that provide vital services to active duty service members and their families, including: DP (Family Matters and Quality of Life representatives), HC (Plans and Programs Division representatives), IL (Family Member Program representatives), SG (Family Advocacy, Mental Health, Health Promotion representatives), RE, JA and NGB/CF. "This online meeting management system enabled the Air Force to standardize and improve an important multi-program process while reducing administrative costs. This allows participants to more effectively focus on coordinating important support services for active duty troops and their families," said DefenseWeb CEO Douglas Burke. "We look forward to working with the Air Force to successfully expand this application Air Force wide." About DefenseWeb(R) Technologies, Inc. DefenseWeb Technologies, Inc.
