Recognized as innovators and leaders among industry peers, the Oracle Gurus will participate in innovative and highly interactive discussions with conference attendees about the future of technology in four key areas: business intelligence, collaboration, integration and enterprise grid computing. Now in its fourth year, the popular "Meet the Gurus" program offers Oracle OpenWorld attendees the opportunity to interact directly with Oracle's top visionaries in an informal setting. The Oracle Gurus represent a broad spectrum of Oracle's applications and technology organizations and are responsible for some of the industry's most significant technology breakthroughs including grid computing and Service Oriented Architectures (SOA). Mendelsohn drives security, globalization and high availability technologies across the Oracle Database, Application Server and Collaboration Suite products. He led development of the Oracle Database 10g and is currently leading the effort to develop future database releases. -- Ray Roccaforte, Business Intelligence Guru -- As vice president of Server Development for Oracle Business Intelligence, Roccaforte's team delivered the first truly integrated OLAP, data mining and ETL engines. His team is tasked with helping customers achieve real-time business intelligence with embedding sophisticated analytic capabilities into the database. -- Richard Sarwal, Manageability and Performance Guru -- As the vice president of Server Performance, Sarwal focuses on managing information technology (IT) systems more effectively by optimizing performance, scalability, and availability at a significantly lower cost than ever before.
